Blinken Meets NATO Chief Mark Rutte

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met today with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels. Secretary Blinken and Secretary General Rutte discussed the United States' and NATO's support for Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia's aggression. The Secretary condemned the actions of the Russian Federation and Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to escalate Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. Regarding the upcoming NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting, they discussed key objectives, including advancing concrete steps Allies plan to take to help Ukraine defend itself and strengthening NATO partnerships in the Indo-Pacific and Southern Neighborhood. Both sides underscored the importance of Allies working collectively to promote security and stability throughout the Euro-Atlantic.
