Blinken Meets Singapore PM Wong

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in Singapore today.

Secretary Blinken again congratulated Prime Minister Wong on becoming Singapore's fourth prime minister this past May. The Secretary and Prime Minister underscored the importance of the U.S.-Singapore strategic partnership and the role it plays in upholding international norms and standards in the Indo-Pacific and around the world. The two officials discussed the progress our nations have made in key areas, including critical and emerging technology, maritime security, and clean energy.

Secretary Blinken and Prime Minister Wong reaffirmed a shared commitment to bolstering our strong economic, security, and people-to-people ties for the benefit of the American and Singaporean peoples.
