Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ronald Lamola today. The two emphasized the importance of the U.S.-South Africa partnership. They committed to continue to work together on shared priorities such as economic development, health diplomacy, and multilateral institutional reform. They discussed additional opportunities to advance common interests when South Africa assumes the presidency of the G20 in 2025 and the United States succeeds South Africa in 2026.
