Three people have been rescued from the Stirling Range National Park, following an operation involving Police Air Wing today, Sunday 21 April 2024.
About 7pm yesterday, Saturday 20 April 2024, emergency services were contacted by a female hiker who had become lost near Bluff Knoll, in the Stirling Range National Park.
The 32-year-old woman, along with a 71-year-old man and 56-year-old woman, were uninjured.
Following communications with officers from Gnowangerup Police, the group advised they had adequate supplies and equipment to camp safely at the location overnight.
About 10.30am today, Police Air Wing arrived at the location and performed successful a winch rescue operation.
The group was transported to a nearby location on Chester Pass Road where they were assessed by St John WA.
