Enjoy listening to two crime writers, B.M. Carroll and Petronella McGovern, talking about their inspiration, the writing process, and their brand-new novels about family secrets and the things we don't know about those who are closest to us, at Hawkesbury Central Library on Wednesday, 31 July at 6pm.
One of Us is Missing by B.M. Carroll is a thriller about trust, toxic friendships and family secrets. Rachel and Rory Sullivan celebrate the end of a difficult year by treating their teenagers, Emmet and Bridie, to their first-ever concert. But by the end of the night, one of the four has vanished. As the police investigation intensifies, suspicion is cast on family members, friends, and the enemies they didn't realise they had. Everyone has been deceiving one another, but who is to blame for what went wrong?
The Last Trace by Petronella McGovern (pictured) is a gripping page-turner about siblings, secrets and the traces we can never erase. When a woman asks Lachy Wilson to provide a DNA test, he panics. He has been having memory blackouts and can't remember what happened that crucial night. His sister, Sheridan, forces him to face up to his responsibilities but she doesn't realise what she's setting in motion - a murder investigation and long-held secrets which will explode into their lives.
