New partnership will ensure that clinicians will have access to quality medical education to learn and improve their daily practice in treating patients living with cancer
February 2023 - Leading healthcare knowledge provider BMJ has unveiled its new partner webinar series with Fondazione Internazionale Menarini. The partner programme is a series of BMJ Masterclasses Oncology webinars to support clinicians across Europe. Giving access to BMJ's expertise, tools, and resources will help clinicians improve their knowledge and daily practice in oncology.
Topics in the webinar series include three educational two-hour live masterclasses that focus on oncology. Each webinar will be available for on-demand viewing across European countries to benefit patients treated within the European health system.
BMJ will create expert-led clinical content to support oncologists' needs by covering the latest guidelines and best practices in oncology. The webinars will support a medical education library of content hosted by Fondazione Internazionale Menarini.
All content from the BMJ Masterclasses Oncology webinar series will be free to access on demand, and available in Spanish and English. The expert-led curated content will be relevant for generalists, entry-level oncologists, and any other allied health professionals with an interest in specific areas of oncology:
Lung cancer - 15 March 2023
Session to include:
- the latest information on testing and treating diagnostics and management of conditions, and the most recent advances in immunotherapy and adjunctive therapies.
- the best available treatment options and side effects.
- diagnosis and management of emergency patient presentations
Colorectal cancer - 29 March 2023
Session to include:
- latest on diagnostics and management of conditions, including testing.
- updates on advances in immunotherapy and adjunctive therapies.
- newest and most effective treatment options, and side effects.
- diagnosis and management of emergency patient presentations
Pancreatic cancer - 12 April 2023
Session to include:
- latest advances in diagnosis
- the role of biomarkers in early diagnosis
- recent advances in management
