The body of a woman has been located during a search for a missing woman in the state's north.
The 33-year-old was last seen about 10.30pm Tuesday (3 September 2024) at Toormina.
When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
About 12pm today (Sunday 8 September 2024), the body of a woman was found in Toormina.
While it is yet to be formally identified, the body is believed to be that of the missing woman.
Initial inquiries indicate the death is not suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
