Body Found During Search For Missing Woman At Albury

A body has been found during the search for a missing woman in North Albury.

The 44-year-old woman was last seen in North Albury, about 4am on Monday 31 March 2025.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Murray River Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

About 10.55am today (Wednesday 2 April 2025), police were called to a creek at the end of Livermore Street, Lavington following reports of a body found in a dry creek bed.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District responded and established a crime scene.

While the body has not yet been formally identified, initial inquiries indicate it is the missing woman.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
