The body of a man has been found, during the search for a 71-year-old reported missing from Oran Park last week.
About 8.40am today (Thursday 23 January 2025), officers attached to Wollongong Police District were conducting patrols when they located the body of a man at Wollongong beach near Harbour and Bank streets, Wollongong.
Officers attached to Wollongong Police District established a crime scene and conducted an investigation.
Initial inquiries suggest the man's death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
