A body, believed to be that of a man missing from the Hunter Valley, has been located today.
The 81-year-old man was last seen leaving a home on Stewarts Road, Woolooma, about 1pm on Monday 11 November 2024.
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
The man's vehicle was located at Upper Rouchel about 4pm on Wednesday 13 November 2024, and an extensive multi-agency coordinated land search was subsequently conducted.
As part of the search, emergency services located the body of a man at Upper Rouchel about 3.20pm today (Friday 15 November 2024).
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing man.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
