The body of a man - believed to be that of a man missing from Tamworth - has been located.
The 67-year-old man was last seen in Kootingal on Monday 13 December 2021.
He was reported missing to officers attached to Oxley Police District, who conducted extensive inquiries into his whereabouts.
Just before 1.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 22 December 2021), police were called to a property at Bendemeer, after the body of a man was located with a vehicle.
Officers from Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be the missing man.
Initial inquiries have led police to believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
