The body of a man reported missing from the Northern Beaches, has been located in water off Manly today.
The 81-year-old man was last seen about 5pm on Tuesday (14 March 2023), at a home on Reddall Street, Manly.
When he could not be contacted or located, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Emergency services were called to Manly Beach, after reports a body had been located in the water, just before 12.30pm (Saturday 18 March 2023).
Officers from the Marine Area Command attended and retrieved the body from the water.
Following inquiries, the body has been formally identified as being the missing man.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is underway.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
