A woman has been charged following investigations into five bomb hoaxes in the Bayside area today.
It will be alleged that a series of threatening messages were sent to childcare centres and a primary school in Brisbane's Bayside in the early hours of Thursday morning.
This afternoon, detectives from the Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch charged a 50-year-old Cleveland woman with five counts of making a bomb hoax – falsely inform bomb present.
Police investigations have concluded that the alleged threats were unsubstantiated, and that there was no risk to any children or the community.
Police will further allege the woman was not known to, or connected with the centres or school.
The woman will appear at the Cleveland Magistrate's Court on June 5.
