Innovative thinking and a big collaborative effort over the last 24 hours have meant that Bombala Pool can reopen from 11.30am tomorrow, Wednesday 5 February 2025, less than a day after a major equipment failure put the swimming season in doubt.
Council staff and the lessee operator have worked closely together today and managed to devise a workaround for the facility's failed pump. Parts and equipment were sourced same-day, and the temporary fix was up and running earlier this afternoon.
Water circulation and chlorine levels are stable, with testing results confirming that it's now safe for swimmers to return and enjoy the rest of the swimming season.
We thank the community for their patience during this unscheduled closure, and look forward to welcoming you back at Bombala Pool from tomorrow morning at 11.30am.
