From Monday 28 June the MidCoast Flood Recovery Centre will change its operation to appointment-only.
The centre is located in the former MidCoast Council Chambers at Pulteney Street, Taree and has been operating since the March flood event, however as Government agencies begin to relocate, it makes sense to change the centre's operation.
"Our staff remain committed to supporting our community through the ongoing recovery and even though we're moving to an appointment only approach, as Resilience NSW staff and other agencies finish their time in the centre, that doesn't mean there's any less support available," explained MidCoast Council's Director of Liveable Communities, Paul De Szell.
"Anyone needing support and advice can still phone Service NSW on 13 77 88 or our flood recovery hotline on 1300 545 040 and our staff can talk them through what they need over the phone or book an appointment to see them in person."
Staff remain available to provide information and access to everything from mental health and wellbeing services through to document replacements, business support, financial assistance and more.
Alternatively, further information is also available on the Flood Recovery Hub on Council's website www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/floodrecovery
