Bookings open for 5 to 11 year-olds at ACT Government Covid vaccination clinics

Parents can now call and book a COVID-19 vaccination for their 5 to 11 year-olds at an ACT Government vaccination clinic, with appointments available from 10 January 2022.

Minister for Health Rachel Stephen-Smith said bookings were opening now so the ACT will be ready as soon as we receive the children's vaccine supply next month.

"I know many Canberra parents are very keen to get their children vaccinated so they are better protected from the effects of COVID-19," Minister Stephen-Smith said.

"If you have decided that vaccination is the best option for your child, you can now phone our call centre and make an appointment for your 5 to 11 year-old.

"If a parent or carer is eligible for their booster, they can book that in at the same time their child or children are being vaccinated."

The ACT Government estimates there are about 46,000 children aged 5-11 in the Territory.
