Wingecarribee shire Council has today opened bookings for its 2022 Seniors Festival.
Council's Director Corporate Strategy and Resourcing, Carmel Foster urged prospective attendees to view the program ahead of the booking opening.
"With over 60 free events planned for this year's festival, we're confident we've got something to please everyone," she said.
Official events begin on Friday 25 March with an art exhibition by John Olsen at the Ngununggula Regional Art Gallery and concludes with a ukulele workshop at the Bundanoon Soldiers Hall on Tuesday 5 April 2022.
"We strongly recommend that anyone thinking of joining us, have a look at the program beforehand to see what events they may be interested in attending and book from Friday 4 March to secure their place," Ms Foster said.
"The key message is to get in early to avoid disappointment."
Returning for this year is the option of online bookings through Council's website.
"Seniors can again choose to secure their spot for an event via our online booking system or over the phone," Ms Foster added.
With the theme of this year's Seniors Festival being 'Reconnect', the aim of this year's program is to re-establish social connections following the COVID hiatus.
"This year's Seniors Festival is the perfect opportunity for our Shire's older residents to reunite with friends and enjoy the very best of what our beautiful Shire has to offer."
Wingecarribee Shire Council's 2022 Seniors Festival is presented with support from the Mittagong RSL.
