Boost to walking and cycling paths

Exercising in the Camden area is about to get better, after Camden Council accepted $1.6 million in funding to improve pedestrian and bicycle paths.

The $1.6 million, which was proudly funded by the NSW Government's Get NSW Active Program, will allow Council to undertake three projects in the upcoming financial year on footpaths and shared paths in Camden, Mount Annan and Narellan.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said she was looking forward to seeing the projects come to life.

"Being a mother, it's always important to me to instil in my children a desire to be active. That can be through competitive sport, but also just riding a bike or taking a stroll through our beautiful area," she said.

"This funding will allow us to enhance public exercise in our area, as well as improve connections throughout our LGA."

The three projects which will be undertaken in the 2023/24 financial year are:
