Mandurah Detectives have charged a man in relation to a trespass incident in Bouvard last night, Monday 28 December 2020, during which two residents were assaulted.
About 9:30pm the occupants of a residence in Acacia Close went to investigate noises in the patio area at the rear of their residence. They were confronted by a man rummaging through an outside fridge. After initially being chased off, the man returned to the rear patio area and it will be alleged he assaulted the two residents.
It will be alleged the female resident, who is aged in her 60s, was punched to the face, while the male resident, who is also aged in his 60s, had part of one of his fingers bitten off.
The male resident was able to subdue the man while the female resident called for help. Neighbours came to their aid and Police were called. Upon arrival the attending officers took the man into custody.
Both victims were taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment to their injuries.
A 23-year-old man from Marangaroo has been charged with Aggravated Grievous Bodily Harm, Aggravated Common Assault and Trespass. He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 29 December 2020.
