(Melbourne, Monday 16 December)–Palace Cinemas, Australia's premier independent cinema group, warmly invites the audiences to make this Boxing Day fun and memorable by sharing the magic of cinema with loved ones at their local Palace Cinema. This year, Palace Cinemas presents a carefully curated selection of films designed to captivate all audiences, offering everything from heartfelt dramas to exhilarating adventures.

This Boxing Day line-up includes the highly anticipated premieres of All We Imagine as Light, Anora, A Real Pain, Parthenope, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and The Room Next Door. With such a diverse selection, there's something for every cinemagoer—whether you're drawn to family fun, an emotional drama, or a visual feast.

Audiences can also use the holiday to catch up on some of the year's biggest hits, such as Wicked, Moana 2, Mufasa: The Lion King (in cinemas from 12 December), Firebrand (from 19 December), Better Man, and Wallace and Gromit – Vengeance Most Fowl. Looking ahead, New Year's Day promises even more cinematic excitement with the much-anticipated premieres of Nosferatu and Paddington in Peru.

Benjamin Zeccola, Palace Cinemas CEO, expressed his excitement for the holiday season, saying, "Boxing Day at Palace is always a highlight of the year for me. There's something magical about seeing families and friends come together to enjoy great films—a tradition that creates memories lasting well beyond the holidays."

He added, "This year's line-up is exceptional, and Anora has been a personal favourite—a beautifully crafted film that resonated with me long after the credits rolled. I'm immensely proud of what we're offering this festive season and can't wait to share these stories with our audiences."

Adding to the festive cheer, moviegoers can enjoy screenings at the newly launched Palace Penny Lane Cinema Rooftop—a stylish open-air venue with a fully licensed bar, open from 18 December through to March—or at the beautifully refurbished Palace Church Street Cinema (formerly Dendy Brighton). A cherished family favourite in Bayside, Palace Church Street has undergone its first major transformation since 2003, seamlessly blending state-of-the-art amenities with its enduring charm.

On Christmas Day, Pentridge Cinema, Palace Electric (Canberra), Palace Byron Bay, Palace Church Street, Palace Norton Street, Palace Balwyn, Palace Cinema Como, Palace Penny Lane, and Palace Regent Cinema Ballarat will be open, with all Palace Cinemas locations welcoming audiences on Boxing Day.
