A boy missing from Annangrove has been located safe and well this morning.
The 11-year-old boy was seen at 3.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 8 June 2022) exiting a school bus on Annangrove Road, Annangrove.
He was later seen walking along Annangrove Road, towards Langlands Road, about 4.45pm.
Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command were notified and immediately commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
An extensive search of the area was conducted overnight with assistance by police from neighbouring commands, as well as a fixed-wing aircraft from PolAir, officers from Police Rescue, and 15 members of the SES. A geo-targeted message was also disseminated to local residents
A full-scale search resumed this morning at 8am (Thursday 9 June 2022), with command headquarters established at The Hills Fire Control Centre in Kenthurst, involving local police, the Police Rescue Squad, PolAir, SES and RFS volunteers.
Just after 9.30am today, a member of the public sighted the 11-year-old walking along Annangrove Road, near Joylyn Road, Annangrove.
He was assessed at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and despite being out in the cold all night, he had no visible injuries. He has been taken to hospital for further assessment.
Arrangements have been made to reunite him with family.
