Federal Member for Flynn, Colin Boyce, visited the site of the Moore Park Beach Men's Shed today to announce that an elected LNP Government will provide $106,157 to fit-out their new shed.
Mr Boyce said Men's Sheds are more than just workshops - they're about mateship, community, and looking out for one another.
"This funding will help ensure the Moore Park Beach Men's Shed has the tools, equipment, and facilities needed to support local men for years to come," Mr Boyce said.
"It will also play a vital role in keeping blokes connected, active, and engaged in their community. Whether it's restoring bikes, making furniture, or just having a cuppa and a chat, this shed will be an important space.
"We know men's health isn't just about doctor's visits - it's about staying connected and having purpose. The Moore Park Beach Men's Shed does exactly that, and I'm pleased to see this funding go towards its fit-out so it can continue making a difference.
"From making nesting boxes to helping out local schools, the Moore Park Beach Men's Shed will be a real asset to this community. This funding will help make sure the shed is safe, well-equipped, and ready to welcome more members in the future.
"I'm proud to support its fit-out so the members can continue their great work."
