Break And Enter At Tiaro

Police are investigating after a break and enter at a service station in Tiaro this morning.

Initial information indicates an unknown number of people have used a vehicle to smash into the front of the Bruce Highway business shortly after 3am.

Upon arrival police observed significant damage to the premises and the ATM missing from inside the service station.

Officers have followed gauge marks along the Bruce Highway for several kilometres onto Netherby Road where they observed two males attempting to lift the safe into a 4WD.

Police attempted to speak with the pair, however they dropped the safe and accelerated away.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information that could assist investigations, is urged to contact police.

There was extensive damage caused to the business.

Investigations are ongoing.
