Break-In Attempts: Pacific Pines, Browns Plains

Police are investigating the attempted break and enter of two tobacconists at Pacific Pines and Browns Plains overnight.

Around 2.45am a group of people wearing balaclavas attempted to break into a tobacconist on Pitcairn Way at Pacific Pines. The group then fled in three vehicles.

Officers attended the scene where they located multiple padlocks cut but no entry had been gained.

Police were then called around 4.40am with a report that two vehicles, containing people wearing balaclavas, had attended a tobacconist on Eastern Road at Browns Plains and were trying to smash their way into the store.

Officers attended the scene and tracked a silver Mahindra which fled the scene.

The exterior roller-door to the business was damaged, but no entry had been gained.

Investigations continue and police are appealing to anyone with information or footage pertaining to these offences, to come forward.
