Detectives across Brisbane's south and Logan have active operations underway in relation to a series of break and enter offences across Brisbane's south and Logan over the past week.
Investigations suggest between April 2 and April 10, offenders have broken into, or attempted to break into, several businesses including service stations, convenience stores, tobacconists, and cafés.
Suburbs where the offences occurred include Alexandra Hills, Bulimba, Capalaba, Eagleby, Holmview, Kangaroo Point, Manly West, Ormeau, Springwood, Sunnybank, Tingalpa, Upper Mount Gravatt, Victoria Point, Wellington Point, Wishart, and Wynnum West.
There are no reports of physical altercations in relation to these incidents.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any of these incidents or has any CCTV or dash-camera footage relating to the break-ins to come forward.
Separately, police are investigating a report of an overnight assault of male employee at a tobacconist on Finucane Road, Capalaba by two armed men during a disturbance at 10.30pm, April 10.
The employee sustained minor injuries to his torso.
There is no evidence, at this time, to suggest this incident is linked to the Southeast Queensland break and enters.
Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), Officer in Charge, Detective Senior Sergeant Christopher Lafferty says CIBs across Brisbane's south and Logan are working closely together to identify and apprehend the offenders.
"Crimes of this nature are appalling, and police are focused on finding those responsible, and disrupting any further offences in our community," Detective Lafferty said.
"The impact of these offences doesn't just mean a broken window or door needs to be replaced, it can have an impact on the businesses income and the owner and employees' sense of security."
"Detectives are currently following several leads, and officers will continue conducting extensive investigations, including proactive patrols, to keep our community safe."
