Break-Ins Surge in Brisbane South West, Gatton, Redbank

Police are investigating following multiple linked break and enters in the Brisbane south west and Gatton area over the weekend.

A white Mitsubishi ASX was stolen from Jensen Street in Gatton in the early hours of Saturday morning.

About 2.45am on Saturday, August 31, the white Mitsubishi ASX, Queensland registration 860XGD, attended a shopping centre on Collingwood Drive in Redbank where three people attempted to gain entry into a business.

Around 3.50am multiple shops were then broken into at a shopping complex on Goggs Road in Sinnamon Park.

Just before 4am, there were reports of an attempted break and enter at a tobacconist on Moggill Road in Indooroopilly.

The Mitsubishi is believed to be involved in a break-and-enter at several business at a shopping complex on Blunder Road in Oxley.

The car was subsequently seen at a break and enter of a shopping centre on Wirraway Parade in Inala around 4.35am.

The following morning, Sunday, September 1, a second vehicle, a dark coloured Holden Cruze sedan, Queensland registration 693VLE, was stolen from Wilks Street in Gatton about 12.15am.

The Holden Cruze and the Mitsubishi ASX were both involved in several property offences in the Gatton CBD area during the early hours of Sunday morning.

About 5am the white Mitsubishi ASX was used to ram a convenience store on Old College Road at Gatton.

The Mitsubishi ASX was located with significant damage a short time later near Eastern Drive at 5.07am.

Investigations are ongoing and the Holden Cruze remains outstanding.

Police are appealing for anyone with further information or who may have relevant vision to come forward.
