Emergency services responded to a house fire in Briar Hill overnight, where a man has been located deceased, Victoria Police say.
It is believed the blaze broke out at a property on Mountain View Road sometime after 10pm last night (11 July).
The body of a man, who is yet to be formally identified, was located at the scene.
Investigators are yet to establish the exact cause of the fire and an arson chemist will attend the scene later this morning.
Mountain View Road is currently closed between Sherbourne Road and Fernside Avenue.
The investigation remains ongoing.
