Firefighters and waterbombing aircraft continue to battle a grassfire in Flowerdale which started yesterday afternoon (21 February).

There is a significant fast-moving grassfire burning in Flowerdale which is not yet under control.
The fire has grown to more than 717ha in size as at 7:30am on 21 February.
There are currently four warnings in place relating to this grassfire:
Emergency Warning - Shelter Indoors Now has been issued for Flowerdale.
Watch and Act - Leave Now has been issued for Flowerdale from Dairy Creek Road to Handleys Road and Upper King Parrot Creek Road to Landmark Lane.
Watch and Act - Stay Near Shelter has been issued for Dairy Creek, Homewood and Strath Creek along Upper King Parrot Creek Road.
Advice - Stay Informed has been issued for Ghin Ghin, Whiteheads Creek, Avenel and surrounds.
This grassfire is travelling in a northerly direction from Flowerdale towards Yea Spur Road Yea.
The fire is in steep and inaccessible country, spreading into forested areas to the north.
More than 50 CFA units have responded to this incident since it was first reported at 2.40pm on 21 February.
FFMVic crews have also been supporting.
There has also been a significant response from our aerial firefighting appliances to support ground crews. We have undertaken aerial water bombing overnight.
There are no confirmed loss of homes at this stage in part due to early asset protection by firefighters. There are impacts to fencing and sheds but the extent of the damage is not yet known.
Smoke is visible in nearby communities.
An Incident Control Centre has been established at Alexandra.
The Fire Danger Rating for North Central on Wednesday is Moderate.
