Fiona Blair has been appointed the new CEO for Brimbank City Council.
Ms Blair is a highly regarded leader in local and state government, with extensive experience as a senior executive. She was recognised for her leadership in the inaugural Top 50 Public Sector Women award in 2017.
Her skills and experience span across all areas of Council service planning and delivery ranging from youth and recreation, capital works, parks and open space, asset management, enforcement and operations.
Most recently Ms Blair was the Executive Director of Transport Planning at the Victorian Government's Department of Transport, where she led the development of the Victorian Bus Plan and integrated transport planning.
Prior to this, she held senior executive roles at the City of Port Phillip, where she oversaw the council's Infrastructure and Amenity division responsible for delivering high quality services and projects for the community.
Ms Blair played key roles in the transformation of the South Melbourne Market, and the planning of Fishermans Bend, Australia's largest urban renewal area.
Fiona is known as an outstanding leader with the ability to develop staff, drive exceptional service and develop collaborative relationships.
Ms Blair will start in the role on 24 January replacing Interim CEO Warren Roberts.
Ms Blair was recruited following an extensive recruitment process.
