Brisbane South Company Robbery Under Police Probe

Police have charged an 18-year-old man following a robbery and assault in Upper Mount Gravatt on Monday, February 17.

It will be alleged at approximately 6.40pm, three males approached a 15-year-old boy at a shopping centre basketball court on Logan and Kessels Road before assaulting him.

It is further alleged the males then stole property from the boy before fleeing the scene on foot.

The 15-year-old boy attended a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On February 19, Morningside CPIU conducted a search warrant at a Stretton address where they located and arrested an 18-year-old Stretton man.

He has been charged with one count each of robbery in company with violence and trespass.

The man is expected to appear before Richlands Magistrates Court this morning, February 20, where police will object to his bail.

Investigations remain ongoing.
