Broome Man Charged With Further Child Sexual Offences

Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad have further charged a 75-year-old man as a result of their ongoing investigation in relation to a number of alleged historical offences.

It will be alleged the man indecently dealt with a male child between 2009 and 2010.

On Sunday 26 January 2025, the 75-year-old man from Broome was arrested and charged with:

• Three counts of Indecent Dealings with Child Under 13 Years;

• Two counts of Common Assault; and

• One count of Sexual Penetration of a Child Under 13.

He is due to appear before Broome Magistrates Court on 3 February 2025.
