Hazelbrook ten-year-old Sabine Schofield captivated the audience with her passionate performance and thought-provoking verses on the topic of climate change.
Her winning piece, crafted for a class project on Slam poetry, drew admiration from the audience-selected judges.
The Year Five student's creativity and dedication have propelled her to the State level, where Sabine will compete against other talented poets with the further prospect of competing at the National finals.
