Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating two burglaries in Boort and Bridgewater they believe may be linked, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told an unknown offender/s forced entry to a car centre on McMillans Road sometime between 11pm on 5 April and 7.30am on 6 April.
They stole a quantity of cash before fleeing the premises.
Between 7pm on 4 April and 7.30am on 6 April, a poultry farm on Fantasy Road, Bridgewater was also broken into.
The offender/s took a small amount of money during the incident.
Investigators believe the two incidents may be related and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
