West Pilbara Detectives and Roebourne Police have charged a 20 year old man following an investigation into an alleged burglary and sexual assault offence committed in Wickham on Tuesday, 23 May 2017.
It will be alleged around 3.45am, a 27 year old female was asleep in the lounge room of a house when the offender unlawfully entered the home and sexually assaulted her. The offender was disturbed and ran from the scene, WA Police say.
The 20 year old man from Baynton (Karratha) has been charged with:-
•Aggravated Burglary; and
•Sexual Penetration without Consent.
He is due to appear before the Karratha Magistrates Court today, 25 May 2017.
