Joondalup Detectives recently initiated an operation due to a number of burglary and stealing offences that occurred at homes under construction within land development areas.
Following an investigation, detectives have charged a 37-year-old man with several offences in relation to incidents that occurred in Clarkson, Alkimos and Yanchep.
Between 30 July and 26 August 2024, it will be alleged the man gained entry into several under construction homes and stole numerous home appliances.
On Tuesday 27 August, police executed a search warrant at an address in Clarkson, and also allegedly located an amount of Methylamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
It will also be alleged the man was captured driving on seven occasions despite having no authority to drive.
A 37-year-old man from Clarkson has been charged with:
• 5 x Burglary with Intent on a Place
• 4 x Burglary and Commit on a Place
• 4 x Stealing
• 2 x Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property
• 1 x Possess Prohibited Drug (Methylamphetamine)
• 1 x Possessed any Drug Paraphernalia in or on which there was a Prohibited Drug or Plant
• 7 x No Authority to Drive
He's due to next appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 4 September 2024.
Western Australia Police encourage members of the public to report any suspicious activity, such as burglary and stealing incidents within homes under construction to their local police station.
