Mirrabooka Detectives have charged two men in relation to several incidents that occurred in Yokine, Yangebup and Bassendean between 28 December 2023 and 9 January 2024.
During one incident it will be alleged the men aged 33 and 45, gained entry to a home on North Road in Bassendean about 8.30am on Tuesday 9 January 2024, where they stole various items.
Police investigations into these incidents resulted in detectives attending a residence on Stratton Boulevard in Stratton about 9.30am yesterday (09/01), where they arrested the 33-year-old man. During this arrest, a police officer and the 33-year-old man were bitten by a dog at the property.
Also on 9 January 2023, detectives arrested the 46-year-old man at a residence on Atkinson Court in Stratton.
The 33-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with:
• 1 x Trespass,
• 3 x Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit;
• 4 x Stealing; and
• 2 x Steal Motor Vehicle.
The 45-year-old man from Halls Head has been charged with:
• 1 x Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit; and
• 1 x Stealing.
They are both due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 10 January 2023.
