Burglary Charges, Holland Park West

Detectives from Upper Mount Gravatt Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 44-year-old man in relation to a burglary at Holland Park West on Wednesday February 12.

At approximately 8am, police will allege a man unlawfully entered a Brodie Street property and items were stolen.

A 91-year-old woman, a resident at the property, allegedly disturbed the man who then left on foot.

The woman was not physically injured.

Investigations lead police to attend a Newstead address on the afternoon of Saturday February 15, where a 44-year-old man was taken into custody.

He has been charged with eight counts of fraud, three counts of burglary and two counts of receiving tainted property.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, February 17.
