Burns Point Ferry annual maintenance from Monday 11 November

The Burns Point Ferry will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday 11 November to Sunday 24 November 2024.

The ferry service will stop at 12.30am on Monday 11 November and is scheduled to recommence at 5.30am on Monday 25 November 2024.

The ferry crossing will be closed to customers for this two-week period. Motorists are advised to use the alternate route of the Pacific Highway and River Drive, Wardell.

During this period, structural, mechanical, and electrical maintenance repairs will be carried out along with minor safety upgrades.

The Ferry's return to service date will depend on how the works progress and weather conditions.

If the Ferry's return to service is delayed, Council will notify road users through local media, social media and Council's website.

Routine monthly maintenance is also scheduled for Tuesday 10 December from 9am – 1pm.
