Regional Investigations Unit detectives have arrested and charged a man in relation to an armed robbery in Burswood yesterday morning, Wednesday 2 November 2022.
About 3:25am, two men armed with a firearm entered a Burswood business and it will be alleged they threatened a staff member, demanding access to cash and other items.
The men left the premises a short time later.
About 9:00pm last night a 34-year-old man was arrested in Lesmurdie, after a vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped on Welshpool Road.
The 34-year-old man from Forrestfield has been charged with:
- Aggravated Armed Robbery;
- Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis); and
- Possessed Drug Paraphernalia.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today, Thursday 3 November 2022.
