Police have closed the New England Highway near Severnlea in both directions due to a bushfire, Queensland Police say.
The fire was impacting the eastern side of the highway, but has now jumped the road and is impacting the western side.
Southbound traffic is being diverted along Eukey Road.
Northbound traffic is being diverted along Beverley Road.
People in the area should drive to conditions as there is a significant smoke hazard.
