STATUS: Going. A fire which is spreading on one or more fronts. Effective containment strategies are not in place for the entire perimeter.
CURRENT SITUATION: The fire is a grass fire burning in the area of Doxas Road. It will potentially impact properties on the eastern side of Doxas Road including Devine Road, Lockerley Court, and Havlik Road.
Fire fighters will be working on the roadside in this area. Heavy smoke and flames may impact the areas. Please avoid this road at this time.
RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: Smoke from this fire may affect visibility. Active fire may occur close to the roadside. Firefighting crews may be working close to the roadside.
ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: For the safety of firefighting crews and other vehicles, drivers in the area are urged to slow down, turn on headlights and drive safely for the conditions. There will be aerial water bombing activities occurring in the area. Please take shelter and do not go outside if in the affected areas. Residents are encouraged to refer to their bushfire management plans.
