Business Fire At Pooraka

Police are investigating a fire at a business at Pooraka this morning.

Just before 1.15am on Friday 22 November Police and MFS were called to Bridge Road after reports of a fire at a business premises.

When MFS arrived, the blaze had been extinguished with minor damage caused to the front of the shop.

Crime scene investigators have attended the scene this morning and believe the fire was deliberately lit.

Further investigations located a staff member at the premises at the time of the fire.

The 32-year-old man was later arrested by patrols for hinder police and is not suspected of starting the fire.

Investigations are in the early stages and police will establish if there is any links to Operation Eclipse.
