The busy intersection at the corner of Redlynch Intake and Kamerunga roads, outside the Red Beret Hotel at Redlynch, will get a $2.4 million upgrade.
The upgrade will use a combination of traffic calming devices to improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians, as well as improve traffic flow.
A new external timber deck pedestrian pathway at the Red Beret Hotel will be constructed so the public will no longer have to pass through the hotel for pedestrian access from Kamerunga Road to Redlynch Intake Road.
New feature stone walls, irrigated gardens, heritage style fencing and solar speed check signs and additional lighting are part of the $2,486,176 project.
The project is expected to be completed by March 2020.
