Busy Weekend Ahead for Griffith Regional Sports Centre

The Griffith Regional Sports Centre (GRSC) is gearing up for an action-packed weekend from Friday, 6 September, to Sunday, 8 September, with a variety of events set to take place across the facility.

Throughout the weekend, GRSC will play host to the Everybody Sing and Dance Now (EBSDN) Dance Eisteddfod, a highly anticipated event that will run from Friday to Sunday. This event will bring together talented dancers from across the region, showcasing their skills in a series of competitive performances.

In addition to the EBSDN Eisteddfod, the Griffith Netball Association will be conducting training sessions, Representative Trials, and the preliminary finals of their winter competition. These activities will keep the netball courts bustling with energy throughout the weekend.

Athletics Training is also scheduled for Friday afternoon, providing athletes the opportunity to hone their skills in preparation for upcoming competitions.

From Saturday onwards, the NSW Electoral Commission will commence Pre-Poll voting at the Centre, offering residents a convenient location to cast their votes ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections.

Adding to the weekend's line-up, the Griffith Hockey Association will hold their Preliminary Finals on Saturday, promising thrilling matches as teams compete for a spot in the finals.

With so many activities taking place, the GRSC is expecting a high volume of visitors. Residents, participants, and spectators alike are encouraged to allow ample time when visiting the venue during this weekend. GRSC greatly appreciates everyone's cooperation and patience as we work to accommodate the various events.

"We are excited to host such a diverse range of activities this weekend," said Ché Jenkins, Manager at Griffith Regional Sports Centre.

"We ask that everyone planning to visit over the weekend be mindful of the increased traffic and to plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding will help ensure that all events run smoothly." He said.
