The previous bushfire warning has changed.
Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a bushfire burning near Byfield and Shoalwater Bay. Conditions have eased in the area and the fire is now contained. There is no threat to property, however multiple crews will remain on scene this evening and will return to patrol the fire in the morning. Smoke may affect nearby areas and residents are advised to close windows and doors and keep any respiratory medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
