The Australian Army Cadets (AAC) are supporting Run Army this year as part of their commitment to support the community.
Cadets, staff and parents from as far as Nanango and Greater Ipswich will take part in the 5km or 10km fun run around Brisbane on April 23 to raise money for Legacy.
Commander Australian Army Cadets South Queensland Brigade, Colonel Scott Denner, said Run Army provided a fantastic opportunity for cadets to display their fitness and character.
"By taking part, cadets feel part of the broader Army family, while having fun as a team and supporting a great cause," Colonel Denner said.
Run Army supports serving members who are recovering from injury or looking to improve their physical and mental performance.
All the money raised from the event goes towards Legacy, the charity supporting the families of deceased and injured veterans.
Major Paula Vetter, of the Army specialist engagement liaison team in Brisbane, specialises in championing AAC membership and development.
"I have watched and participated in Run Army over the past two years with my son Andrew," Major Vetter said.
"We are watching the event grow from strength to strength, and there is no better way to be involved in a community that supports fitness at all levels with a great run atmosphere to support a dedicated charity organisation to the Australian Defence Force."
