Call for new members of Tasmanian Women's Council

Jo Palmer, Minister for Women

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is seeking four new members of the Tasmanian Women's Council, to champion interests of women across our State.

Providing a crucial link between Tasmanian women and the Government, the Council advises on, and contributes to, the development of Government strategies, policy and initiatives that address inequality and increase the participation of women in all aspects of society.

Council members represent and promote the interests of women in Tasmania on a range of issues, including increasing women's leadership, reducing family violence and improving gender equality.

Importantly, the Council aims to represent the social, economic, demographic and regional diversity of Tasmanian women through its membership and networks.

Applicants with a range of backgrounds, skills and experience are encouraged to apply.

Expressions of interest are open until December 16.
