Calling Young Artists: Submit to Kids' Art Exhibition

Darwin City Council

City of Darwin invites all young artists to submit their work to the Children's Artwork Exhibition in celebration of Children's Week.

The Children's Artwork Exhibition is an annual opportunity for young local artists to showcase their artistic abilities and creative pursuits.

Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis encouraged all young local artists to submit a piece of their art.

"We are very proud to host the Children's Artwork Exhibition which provides a great opportunity for young local artists to display their talents," Mr Vatskalis said.

"This year's theme is 'Children have the right to a clean and safe environment' and I'm looking forward to seeing how this is interpreted differently across a variety of mediums.

"Artworks will be on display in the Darwin City and Casuarina libraries during October and November and will reflect the variety of views that define life in Darwin," he said.

Children's Week is an annual event, celebrating the right of children to enjoy childhood.

To enter, artwork can be dropped off at the Darwin City and Casuarina libraries between Monday 7 and Friday 11 October.

Artwork will be on display from Saturday 19 October until Sunday 24 November 2024.
