Calling Young Creatives

Civic Centre Markets EOIs Open

The popular Civic Centre Market returns in April, with Shellharbour City Council calling on expressions of interest from stallholders and performers aged 12-24. The market aims to showcase and support Shellharbour's talented young people and will be held during Youth Week on Saturday 12 April at the Shellharbour Civic Centre from 10am to 1pm.

If you are a young entrepreneur looking to connect with the community or a performer, Council can help showcase your ideas and talents to the public.

Stalls can be for anything you want to sell or share with the broader community. It might be something you own, something you've made or something you'd like to promote.

"The market is becoming a community tradition, where we can support and help push forward local young go-getters," Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said. "Our last market in November was a huge success, where we had 30 stalls operating."

"We're looking to go even bigger this year and I would love to see a bumper turnout with at least 50 stalls."

"I'm encouraging our younger residents to grab this golden opportunity for some hands-on experience and exposure following their creative business endeavours."

The wide array of pop-up stalls is perfect for finding unique products and gifts, there will also be live music from local performers, workshops and food stalls.

Free parking is available at the Shellharbour Civic Centre (access from Cygnet Ave).

Expressions of interest for Civic Centre Market stallholders are open now, closing on Friday 14 March. Visit Shellharbour Civic Centre's website to apply.
