The community is invited to attend the Campaspe Health Expo, a free event aiming to increase awareness of community services that cover five health domains: wellbeing, physical, financial, legal and pet health at the Rochester Town Hall on 28 August.
Deputy Mayor Tony Marwood said the event is especially significant for Campaspe residents affected by the 2022 flood event, as it seeks to provide them with knowledge of services and programs that may be beneficial to them.
"It's a chance for residents to gain valuable insights and support in multiple areas of health and wellbeing," said Cr Marwood.
The Health Expo is part of the Active August program being held across the Rochester community for the month of August and will feature various exhibitors who will showcase their services, as well as BBQ catering provided by the Rochester Lions Club.
The Health Expo will be MCed by renowned mental health advocate and keynote speaker Narelle Fraser. A former member of Victoria Police for 27 years, in 2012 Narelle was diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and was never able to return to Policing. She overcame many adversities to become a mental health advocate, keynote speaker and true-crime podcaster.
Throughout the day there will be three key panel discussions which will include speakers addressing the Following topics of Legal, Financial Physical, Wellbeing and Pet Health.
